GPT Image 2, from OpenAI, is purchasable on the one route we track. One 1024x1024 t2i image, high costs $0.211 at OpenAI API, the cheapest published rate we can cite. This model is billed at one 1024x1024 image / t2i / high, which nothing else on the index sells, so its price is not ranked against the other models.
The figure above buys one 1024x1024 t2i image, high. The board below prices 14 units in all, each column named. Figures come from each seller's own published rates and carry the date we last read them.
Which route should you take
Each row is the table above read for one question, at the unit named beside the price. Rows marked our call are editorial judgement instead, and appear only where we have something specific to say.
Each column is one unit, and every price in it buys the same thing. The figures quoted elsewhere on this page are one 1024x1024 t2i image, high. That is a baseline for comparing providers, not a quote. What you are actually billed depends on the settings you send, and on some routes on how much you top up at once. Every figure is the provider's own published price; anything we derived rather than read off a price list is marked est.
Things that change what you pay without changing a price on this board. None of them is applied to the figures above: what one unit costs at the posted rate is a number anyone can check, and what it costs after a bonus depends on how much you buy at once.

Batch API, half the standard token rates and published as its own tab on the pricing page: image input $4.00, cached image input $1.00, image output $15.00, text input $2.50, cached text input $0.625 per 1M tokens. The board carries the standard rates, which is what a single interactive request costs; these are not all the rates OpenAI publishes for this model. developers.openai.com
How these prices were read
How each figure above was read off the provider's own price list, and what that price list does not say.
OpenAI API
Two rate cards, both OpenAI's own. The guide publishes a dollar figure per image for three sizes at three quality settings, and those are quoted here as they stand; they cover the image output, so a real request also bills the prompt's text tokens, and an edit bills the input image. The pricing page publishes the token rates beside them. Portrait and landscape costing less than square is the seller's own figure, not a transcription slip: OpenAI notes that a larger non-square resolution can sometimes produce fewer output tokens at the same quality. Quality here is OpenAI's own scale and means nothing outside this model. Those three sizes are the ones OpenAI tabulates; the model accepts thousands of resolutions, whose cost the guide answers only through an interactive calculator, and no figure for those is derived here.
Where a row says not verified, we have not checked that figure yet; it does not mean the model lacks the feature. Every row is read off published documentation for the model, never from our own testing.
